Ivy (lat. hedera helix, greek kissos) has been a symbol of passion and love since ancient times, before the greeks and latins, to whom it owes its names, created myths and characters braided with it. It is a feminine symbol: it expresses passion, bonding, fidelity. The Ivy’s embrace is love and growth together: it winds clockwise following the course of the sunlight, it brings good luck and is therefore still given as a good omen of lasting love.
